MARLISCO launched a European video challenge, a contest in 14 EU countries, encouraging youngsters to tell us what they think about the problem of marine litter -- why should we care and what can be done.
Over 150 youngsters took part in the contest in the UK to make a video of a maximum of 2 minutes.
'Marine Heroes' was made with a primary school class of 30 children from Fourlanesend primary school, and were voted winners April 2014 of the UK primary school section and overall UK winners.

Solar Schools made for ZLC Energy documents the successful fundraising campaign to put 16 solar panels on Millbrook Primary Schools roof August 2013.
In October 2012 Millbrook CE of VA Primary School launched an ambitious target to raise £10,000 to install their very own Solar PV array. Over the following 8 months the school undertook many fundraising activities which included the head master running the London Marathon and a group of local parents cycling from Lands End to Millbrook! As a result of their hard work and determination the school reached their target and were well on their way to becoming a Solar School.
